Memorial to the Women Of World War II

A memorial to the part played by women in World War II. The conception by sculptor John Mills has a number of different uniforms hanging on pegs which represent the various jobs and trades that were carried out by women. Both military and civilian tasks are represented.  The memorial is situated in Whitehall, London.
